On May 19th, my good friend Matt Ricketts and I will be riding our bikes across Michigan South to North. The route starts at the border of Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio. We will traverse north via gravel, two-track, and seasonal roads to reach our destination of the Mackinaw Bridge. This route is about 350 miles total. We plan to ride straight through with the self supported ethos meaning we will not be receiving support from anyone other than ourselves during the route. We are responsible for refueling on our own and taking care of any mechanical issues if any are to occur. It is a privilege to go out to do something like this. There are a lot of people that really wish they could live an active or competitive lifestyle and their body just physically won't let them. I am raising money for the Challenged Athlete Foundation (CAF) because I want to make someone’s dreams of playing a sport come true and give them the opportunity to do so. CAF’s mission is clear: give those with the desire to live active, competitive lifestyles every opportunity to compete in the sports they love. Let's see if we can raise $3,500 total, $100 per mile. This is NOT a gofundme, your donation goes directly to the Challenge Athlete Foundation. While Matt and I are out there taking on this route, I would like to encourage you to do something that will challenge you physically and or mentally. Something you're not quite sure if you can finish. Just a reminder that being able to partake in sport is a privilege, let's see what kind of impact we can make and maybe change someones life in the process.
